executing javascript using document.write

Hi,

Is there a way to execute to following line using document.write without losing the entire screen.

<script language=”javascript”>setFinYears();</script>

I know that i want to call javascript from javascript, but is there a way to do this? The above value is passed through to the function as a variable.

@gil_davisApr 17.2007 — Any time you use document.write() after the page has finished loading, you will wipe out the document.

What are you trying to do? When do you need to run that function?
