javascript appendchild function

Hi Folks,

Could you please tell me how I can insert a <h4> after a table inside a div, before another table for example:

[CODE]
<div>
<h4></h4>
<table>
</table>
<h4></h4>
<table>
</table>
//INSERT HEADER & TABLE HERE
</div>
[/CODE]

If i try and append a table to a heading, it appears inside the header not after it.

@diaApr 16.2007 — Function below could be used if the node you want to insert after is not the first or last node of a parent element.

parent.insertBefore(node, referenceNode.nextSibling);
}

<div id="main">
<h4></h4>
<table>
</table>
<h4></h4>
<table>
</table>
//INSERT HEADER & TABLE HERE
</div>

Using an ID for the div you could select it with var parentEl = document.getElementById('main')

You could then just parentEl.appendChild(header) and parentEl.appendChild(table) to add a header and a table in that order, just as the other two headers and tables you have listed.
