I see pages with .php that page page=2, page=3, etc. What would the file name be for the files that I create?

@NogDogApr 14.2007 — It would be one file, such as filename.php. However, by adding a URL query string, you can make information available via the $_GET array. For example, if the URL requested the page filename.php?page=2, then the script would have access to a super-global variable called $_GET['page'] which would have a value of "2".

So the key is to have logic on that page that does something with that value. Often this will be some sort of database query to determine what content is displayed.
