Image Manipulation Script?

Hi all,

I’m interested in developing a script that will enable a user to upload an image behind another image supplied by my site and allow them to resize rotate and position their image in a pre-allocated space in the image supplied on my site.

for eg. like standing behind a banner of a shark and your face appears on the body of someone in the shark’s mouth.

I’m new to php so am not sure if its powerful enough to do this or how i would even start writing this script.

Would anyone have any ideas on how to do this or know if anyone has done this before, or if it is even possible, and if its not what code language should i write it in?
