Need Help: Sum Arrays

Hi guys, I need help with getting a grand total sum from a field of integers in mysql. I can’t seem to add them, it either gives me 0, or 2. Can someone help me out with a sample code?

My table looks like this.
——————————

ID – INV_TOTAL – INV SUB
1 —-1000.53 —– 6
2 —-1230.00 —– 6

$result = dbquery(“SELECT inv_total FROM mydb WHERE Inv_Sub=’6′”);
$data = dbarray($result);

How do I proceed? Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Thank you in advance.

@NogDogApr 11.2007 — Any reason you couldn't just do it in the query?

SELECT SUM(inv_total) FROM mydb WHERE Inv_Sub='6'
