High level advise on DHTML validation and feedback for forms

Hi guys,

I’m hoping that someone more then experience then I will be able to give me a hand with something. Rather then posting a load of semi relevant code, the form that I’ll be doing some work on is here: –

http://www.final-exodus.net/testing/tt281/form.html

I’ve been asked to use suitable events and DHTML to dynamically report back data entry errors on three of the fields present, those being street name, postal code and credit card number by manner of using colours and or text to advise the user of their errors.

Now, I have no idea on how to do this and would like some insight as to how this may typically be approached. I was thinking of using RegExp and the onBlur event in a function for each field.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Cheers,
Seif
