@Tweak4Apr 05.2007 — Check programs that are running at startup. In current versions of Windows, absent any external influences, whatever resolution you choose in the display properties should remain until you change it. However, there are a variety of programs that can change screen resolution (most commonly, custom apps that ship with video cards). If one of them is running at startup, it could be overriding system settings.

@changintimesauthorApr 05.2007 — i have my startup items down to a minimum, about 4, and one of the is for verizon DSL, maybe it has something to do with that one,

my startup items:

MotiveSB

igfxtray

jusched

hkcmd

ctfmon

i was able to use an earlier driver version for the Intel Graphics Controller and the screen resolution is okay for now,

thanks for the reply,
