If I have a pair of radio buttons (yes,no) named the same how can I use a function to check the no button?

@webadevMar 30.2007 — assign an id to each button and use the id in the javascript to set the checked property. Since they have the same name only one can be checked at a time. The value of the one that's checked will be submitted. I usually assign and use ids for finding and manipulating elements in javascript. And assign names to elements whose values are to be passed as a request parameters on submission (name becomes the parameter name).

document.getElementById("button1").checked = true;

<input type="radio" id="button1" name="btn" value="value1"/>

<input type="radio" id="button2" name="btn" value="value2"/>
