a few months ago I remember visiting the home page of the JavaScript control that displays a message. The control itself appeared within the browser window. The entire browser window goes a bit darker, and the message box slides down from the top of the browser. It reminded me a lot of the way Safari presents error messages to the user. As I am an idiot and did not bookmark the site back then I can’t seem to find the homepage.

After several attempts on Google I still have not been able to find the page. Does anybody know the JavaScript control I am talking about?

I remember the control was called message box or something to that effect

please tell me this fantastic web control was not a dream.

@konithomimoMar 22.2007 — All that you are looking for is a floating div that when entering the page "dims" the page. There are tons of examples. Just goolge javascript floating div and the first one link should give what you want:

Yes thats it but the control i am talking about is fully animated and has its own site. I am really keen to find out the url of that site if i can. That code project article is very handy though... will check it out later!!!
