checkbox, passing value to another form

well my code is really complicated right now. i have 2 forms on 1 page and i need to have form1 tell form2 if checkbox1 is checked or not.

for normal fields i am using this, which works perfectly
form2.min.value=form1.min.value

but i dont want to pass the value of the checkbox…
and this doesnt work
form2.checkbox1=form1.checkbox1

what the easiest thing would be is for the line above to work somehow, or that method. i just need to set 1 object equal to another object
