Help or tips with Guestbook spams

Hello

I have once found this very interesting php guestbook solution that uses a single php page with an extern textfile/database that stores the comments.

http://www.promosi-web.com/script/guestbook/

Alltho I have the 1.7 version and 1.8 is the most recent, the only changes are, I suppose are the verification code and spam filter.
These I have already added from outside help…. which helped med alot from the automated spams.

But these spams are ….strange, they act like real people with comments and sometimes the message ends with a dot and a letter.. but not always. They always have email addresses and some weird commercial webaddresses.

Is there something more I can do or is there even a better simple php guestbook? I have had a couple of hours to adjust this guestbook to suit my website so I hope I do not have to use another ?

… otherwise I guess I have to use some common spamfilter words in the address field aswell.
