Adding a .php into a .htm page?

I am tryin to find out how i can input a short PHP script in a .htm page

The code i got was auto generated, but i have no idea ‘how’ i can input it in my page..

$number=5;
include(“/XXXXXXXXXX/XXXX/XXXX/XXXXXX-XXXX/test/news/show_news.php”);
?>[/code]

How can i input this in a page… let’s say a frame or form~

@NogDogMar 05.2007 — Copy-and-paste should work fine. ?

However, it won't do anything unless your web host parses .htm files as PHP, or if you rename the file to have a .php extension, or else (if on Apache) set up a .htaccess file entry to tell the web server to send the .htm file to the PHP parser.
