onchange question

ok I am looking for a suggestion on this and maybe some example pseudo code on how to accomplish this.

I am trying to make a form that members use to purchase items with fake money what I would like the form to do is this.

item
price

afford
troops
200

10

textbox
jets
100

5

textbox
so basically when the members enters a number in textbox it checks with afford then recalcs the rest of the items for sale to make sure you can afford it and recalc the afford on the other items…. This sounds complex so would you recommend I just check after submit?

@konithomimoMar 04.2007 — just have a function that recalulates the total onkeydown of each input,or of a form/div.
