Please Help Me with unordered list issue…IE Problem

Can’t get this to work property in IE….Please Help!

I have the following style on an unordered list
ul{
list-style:none;

padding:0px;
margin:0px;
position:relative;
top:1px;

}

ul li{
float:left;
margin:0px;
border:solid 1px #86A7BF;
padding:1px;
}

whenever I try to display a flyout menu over this list (and this list only)
it appears behind the list???
The z-index on the menu is 100 or more (doesn’t matter if I use a lower z-index on the ul, li, or both)

Mozilla works fine, what is the problem with IE????

@David_HarrisonMar 01.2007 — Well, you seem to have made the assumption that everyone knows what a flyout menu is and what the code for it is. Do you have an example page, or can you upload an example in a .zip file?
