just wondering something about div ids

how come if I have text for example

Test: <div id=”testresults”></id>

and I modify it by
document.getElementById(“testresults”).innerHTML=”55″

it reads as
Test:
55

is there a way how I can get it to show as
Test: 55

document.getElementById("testresults").innerHTML[COLOR="SeaGreen"][B]+=[/B][/COLOR]" 55";
