Updating sites

I am a host and web site designer. I build websites for my clients and host them. However, sometimes, they want to update small things like the “About Us” page or add a new article.

I know a little php and wrote a few scripts to allow them to do this, however, they must do it from php MYAdmin … Meaning they must log into the database.

I have been looking at building a CMS using forms entries, PHP and mysql. Any one have advice? Point me in the right direction… I need to know where to go and how to do it. THanks guys.

I found that site, but need something a little better.

I know about OpenSource CMS, however, I want to build the system myself. Its only one set of articles he will be adding weekly. Not to mention, the site is already built completely.

php and mysql site offer nothing about tutorials for building a cms.

I would like more solutions, thanks guy.

@SheldonFeb 25.2007 — yes, sure you can create the CMS yourself and bl00dy good luck to you. but if you want to add wysiwyg editing then you need a JS editor! that is why a$$h0l3 i posted thos lines. It is alot of work .

Anyway, I started building my CMS myself and have found a great JS editor. No thanks to you Sheldon. Try to get some manners kid.

You will need to know a fair amount of PHP and mySQL queries to build this.

Also I posted about the wysiwyg editor.
