Copying the DOM into an XML object

Hello. I am struggling to copy the DOM i am working on into an xml object so I can send it using an AJAX request

Thus far my attempts haven;t worked out too well.

I’ve been trying to use some 3rd party libraries that claim to do exactly this but none of them have worked with FireFox.

I’ve tried E4x and sarissa and FireFox balked on both of them.

Can anyone suggest a good library that can help me save the DOM as XML?
