Please help with specifying image source using JavaScript

Hi,

I have tried searching far and wide for this but everything I find is on mouseovers and preloading for mouseovers.

I need to specify the source of images using JavaScript instead of using a SRC tag. The reason I need to do this is that the source for the images changes day by day and must be calculated using the current date.

So I have a function yymmdd which gets the date in YYMMDD format, then a function which uses the output of yymmdd to create the string of the url for an image. For instance, the output of the second function will be something like “http://www.images.com/images/img070218.jpg“, or whatever the date is.

Thanks for any help.

document.appendChild(im);
