WWW.mysite.com different from mysite.com?

I registered a web site as greatbuysweb.com (for convenience because no one uses www. anymore.). I checked my site and I’m pretty sure that If you type in www., it doesnt work. Should I have registered www. and maybe it would have used both? I need to know.

@sessoFeb 16.2007 — www is just a host.. you have to have www as a cname in the dns for it to work ? has nothing to do with domain registration..

@LeeUFeb 16.2007 — You don't register "www", just "example.com". The other is set-up by your hosting company. Your Web site should be able to accept either one, http://example.com or http://www.example.com. Remember, most people don't understand the Web so they may do either.
