IE6 vertical scrollbar bug

IE6 is not giving me my vertical scroll bar even though there is more content on the page.

IE7 works fine and all other pages as well. Also validates as XHTML strict.

any ideas what the bug is and how to trick IE? ?

thanks in advance,
Jason

Because people do still use IE6.

Get rid of the absolute positioning on the left and right divs. Float the left one to the left and vice versa for the right one.

People still use Windows 98 but nobody writes anything for it. You don't think that people will upgrade to the better version of IE?

@ThereminauthorFeb 10.2007 — If IE7 weren't still so new I wouldnt worry about it, but alot of people are probably still using IE6.

I wouldn't do anything for IE 5 either ?. Gotta leave behind old technology eventually.

Thx Aerospace. I will try and get to that tonight after work.

The thing is some people can't. There are a lot of people out there still using Windows 2000 because its all they can afford or don't know any better that they need to upgrade. IE7 is made available to XP users with SP2 and Vista users.

I won't use IE7 for any time soon. IE6 is 'okay', -but IE5.5 was actually better. :o

To M$' credit though, -the did provided a decent un-installer for IE7 that worked right the first time. Usually, in their arrogance they neglect such un-installers and you have to do it manually.
