Trouble with list

Every body tells me that the links on the left side of my home page should be a UL. The problem is that li’s are indented and it ruins my layout. Can you do a list without indentation?

The only reason to go with a list instead of the way I have it is (I’m told) that voice readers will have a hard time with it. hmmph!
