I am doing some work with JS/Ajax.
Can JS functions recieve parameters with spaces in it , because I am getting funny outputs or no output?

I tried to hrad code values but I get the same problem

in JS I have
function ajaxFunction(alName,pageNo){…
alert(alName);

what happens I the JS doesn’t recognize the string alName

if i call the function
echo “<a href=# onClick=ajaxFunction(‘$alName’,’$nextPage’) >Next</a>”;

and $alname has a space in it eg ‘All Photos’ it won’t
Can JS accept variables with spaces in it?

@_Aerospace_Eng_Feb 09.2007 — You'll need to convert the string to htmlentities so any spaces get converted to %20.

@jagguyauthorFeb 10.2007 — Is this the php function htmlentities()?

This doesn't seem to strip spaces and how would JS recognize % as a space?
