If the web server I’m going to be ftping to is running php 4.4.4 and mySQL 4.0.21 can I use newer versions to develope locally? Will it all work when I ftp the files?
I've installed Apache on my PC that's running Windows XP. That seems to be running okay.
Then I installed php. The installation dialogue said that it installed, but when I go into Dreamweaver and create a new site with .php files and try to preview them in a browser I get errors.
I'm following directions from a book called--Macromedia Dreamweaver 8 with ASP, ColdFusion, and PHP Training from the Source. This book has been very helpfull to me in the past. [I was able to configure a ColdFusion/mySQL environment on my Mac at home using this book.]
I think something is going wrong with Apache and PHP trying to talk to eachother.
Deadline for php/mySQL site looming-starting to panick. Can anyone help me?
