range.js, scroller.js, slider.js, timer.js, vol_scroller.js – know of these?

We’ve been using some javascript libraries for movie scrollers/timers etc. that a previous employee found online. They were originally written by a Erik Arvidsson. My question is, 1) does anyone have any experience with these? and 2) They seem exceptionally verbose…could they be much simpler? If you’re interested you can download them here for review…
