javascript zoom flickering in ff

hello
i’m trying to do a zoom script for images, something like gucci.com, the way it was when they switched to ajax site. in present, basically is the same, only they make a slide to the left when zooming a product.

in any browser i test it the zoom is smooth, except FF
(ie 5.5, 6, 7 ) konqueror, opera( win,lin), even on ie instaled via wine on linux

in FF i have a flicker when it zooms,
