Java Script for simple on-click pop-up

Hello all.

I’m not even sure if this is the right platform, but I need a Java script that would create a pop-up window (on click) that would enable me to exactly define the width and height of the window.

The purpose of this window is to bring up pdf documents and multimedia content without users having to leave sight of the actual page.

Any help with this incl. links would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
