browser compatibility…

Hey everybody, I’ve got an interesting, but hellishly frustrating problem with how a page views in Firefox as opposed to IE…in Firefox, when you you go to the landing page at http://www.catspajamasgiftbaskets.com/ it looks like I want it to. However, in IE, the photos are separated from the sidebar on the left by a large white space. If you refresh in IE, the photos display in the desired position, which is up in the left top corner under the menu and right beside the sidebar. I tried using meta refresh and in IE it would show up correctly sometimes, but if you manually refresh or navigate away from the page, it displays incorrectly in both cases when you return. This is maddening, as I am also having similar photo placement issues on the product category pages as well, related of course to the choice of browser. What gives?

@drhowarddrfineJan 21.2007 — You will never get IE to pretend it's a modern browser without a proper doctype. See my link below. Use html4.01 strict.

Then go to w3.org and validate your code using the html AND css validators for a list of your errors.
