Why web sites use https://secure.domain.com

I have seen that web sites use sub domain like [url]https://secure.domain.com[/url]

  • 1. Do you have suggestion why is this better than [url]https://www.domain.com[/url]

  • 2. What will be difference in security to put files login form in https and not http

  • 3. where to put files that it will be secure like link https?

    @chazzyJan 04.2007 — anything sent over HTTPS is secure, it runs over SSL. That means that the packets are encrypted.

    @chazzyJan 04.2007 — a lot of providers don't allow you to do that. you need to specify certain subdomains that work over HTTPS. you need to check w/ your host to see how to configure it.
