Opening a new window from a submenu

Hello,

I am putting a new navigation window on my webiste but I”m stuck. Most of my links need to open in a new window, but I can’t figure out how to do it. It will open a different webpage, but not in a new window. How do I do this?

Here is the code:

var new_item = new MenuItem(“LITV”, “http://research.amosbooks.com“);
