Simple question and I think I know the answer anyway – however…

A few of our clients have complained that since the advent of IE7 they haven’t been able to view pop-ups. Nothing sinister, just enlargements of their product images for example.

They all use window.open, so my question is, is there an alternative?

@coppocksDec 22.2006 — No. But it sounds like their security settings are the cause of this, since in IE7 you can block ALL popups, even those from links. To test this theory... If you want to see pop-ups that are blocked when you have this setting turned on, hold down CTRL + ALT while the window opens.

@sinciliteauthorDec 22.2006 — Yes, to be fair it's Google Toolbar rather than IE7 thats causing the problem.

I knew the answer would be no, it's just trying to explain to non-computer literate people that it's beyond our control
