Hello,

Please forgive me if this is not the forum for it but I really am not sure where to post it…
Im wondering how can we set a mailing system, that allows our site to create email accounts and to allow users to send mail from our site as well as receive mail to our site, im not trying to compete with yahoo or any of the big ones but it would be a plus to our site if we could allow something like this.

I realize there will be security risks and many aspects to consider so any guidance will be greatly appreciated

@NogDogDec 21.2006 — Certainly you write your own PHP implementation, using the [url=http://www.php.net/imap]IMAP/POP3 functions[/url] to read the mailboxes and the mail() function to send emails. Then again, you might simply want to look for a ready-made PHP (or Perl, or ASP, etc.) script that you could just plug in to your site.

im just a little confused about the "mailbox" meaning there, can we say a mailbox is a user? like if an email address is: [email][email protected][/email] then its mailbox would be: userA?
