Why Isn’t Dreamweaver MX (Mac OS X) Multithreaded??!!

Why in the world isn’t DWMX for OS X multithreaded? Whenever I’m uploading files of synchronizing the site (I use a satellite system for Internet access that is very slow and latent — no broadband available in my area *sigh*), Dreamweaver doesn’t allow me to do anything else in the meantime, like write more code, edit other files, etc. Very frustrating and stupid.

One solution I’m thinking of trying is having a separate FTP client for this purpose, and just use DW for design, templates, and the like. I could then switch to the new app (say, CaptainFTP or Transmit) to do file synchronization between my “local” sites and my “remote” sites.

@mzllrJul 17.2003 — yup, that is what i do.... dw is just for writing code and site management, fetch is for the ftp. i have a broadband connection and dw was still taking waaaay to long to upload files.

@selowitchauthorJul 18.2003 — Speed itself wouldn't be nearly so much of an issue if only the software were multithreaded. You could continue to work on other files while you waited for the files to upload/download.
