Problem loading images in Safari

I have designed a photo gallery page,
http://users.rcn.com/ruth23form/dunes.html
that uses an iframe to show large versions of thumbnail pictures. It works well in all the PC browsers, but in Safari the large pictures come up VERY slowly when you mouse over the thumbnails.
I also have a version where I preloaded the images:

@WebJoelDec 10.2006 — The images could be optimized, but you just make the 'under 8-seconds @56-kbs' guideline. There are number 'warnings', -mostly proprietary and somewhat dismissable, but here is something that could need to be fixed:

<iframe src="dunes_text.html" name="frame" width="500px" height="550px" scrolling="No" frameborder="0" align="right"></iframe>

There is no value "px" in HTML. This should be "500" and "550" respectively. Only if you use inline style="" can you use "px". This could be what is hindering Safari(??), -it may not know what to allocate for width & height since it doesn't understand "px" as you have used them here. Other browsers might be more ...forgiving.(?)

See image for speed report:

@RuthLauthorDec 10.2006 — Hi WebJoel,

Thanks for your information and suggestion. I took out the "px" in the height and width and reloaded the pages.

But, since I don't have a MAC, I'll have to wait until tomorrow to see if this solves the problem.

-It probably doesn't... :mad: I'd have tested myself using:

http://fundisom.com/g5/

but this site has been 'down for repairs' for a little bit (site allows you to view your URL in Safari, etc.).

@RuthLauthorDec 11.2006 — Safari is still having the same problem. Any other ideas/suggestions?
