REDR prefixing website address

Can someone clarify an issue. I have recently been dismissed from employment as my employer found one attempt to access a dating website. This website apparently was redirected. It is prefixed by the abbreviation `REDR´. They have no date and time, and I know from REDR this is not unusual. I have never attempted to access this site and am trying to prove that just because its on my pc doesnt mean that I attempted to. Is it true that this could be 100% due to Websense blocking the attempt to access the site or could it be for some other reasons? For example could it appear because the web page is on another domain and the site has actually attempted to redirect the computer or could it be due to a Web bug? Basically I want to be able to argue another explaination to why it is on my computer and I need some help to do so.

I have been told that basically REDR entries within an INDEX.DAT file relate to server side redirects, i.e. a server saying to the browser in the HTTP repsponse that the requested page is at another location. This is indicated by an HTTP status code in the region 300-399.

I am also told that REDR entry reflects the URL whcih resulted in the 300-399 response, so this is the URL which CAUSED the redirect, and not where the browser was redirected to.

I have also been told that Websense Block message uses an HTTP 301 packet to redirect client computers to Websense to display block messages. Websense also uses TCP RST (non-HTTP requests) to Block traffic from source and destination computers. Websense hasn’t used TCP-REDR packets to redirect traffic as of yet.

Now I am completely confused as this suggests that yes my computer was actively used to attempt to access the site but wensense hasnt used tcp-redr packets to redirect traffic as yet!!! all gobbly gook to me. I would appreciate it if someone could clarify this in laymans terms please. Your help would be appreciated. please email me on [email protected].
