help setting up a centralized folder for public FTP?

Hey folks

I have a client who needs a directory on his website to be open to the public for upload of files, such as video files. How can I set up a folder directory so that the public can see it and not be able to access anything else on the site directory?

your help is greatly appreciated.

@KDLADec 06.2006 — You need to talk to your web host. Most likely, you will need to change the permissions on that folder. Just make sure that, if that folder has any subfolders in it, that you apply the appropriate permissions to them, also.
