n00b question, should be answer easily

ok ive got a little problem i am trying to stop a page from breaking out of a frame the code in this page looks like this
onLoad=”breakOutOfFrames();
i need it NOT to break out of the frames can it be done is there a way to use a onload timer where onload is only enabled for 0 seconds or is there a way that does not alow any onload commands to be utilized

basicly i just need to stop the breakoutofframes code or the onload code whichever but id prefer just to stop the breakoutof frames code any ideas

@CharlesDec 04.2006 — Please be more clear. What exactly are you trying to do? Keep a page inside a frameset?

@eric_barcusauthorDec 04.2006 — yes, i have a html document with 3 frames and when i try to link i page that is encoded with the above code the page "jumps" out of the frame and "takes over" the entire page instead of staying inside my predefined frame

@CharlesDec 04.2006 — Well then, just delete that script. Unless you have somebody else's page there for then there is nothing that you can do.

@eric_barcusauthorDec 04.2006 — yes it is someone elses page, is there REALLY nothing to do, no way to disable or have a replace command, ANYTHING?

ideas... any ideas

@CharlesDec 04.2006 — Nada. It's a security restriction so getting around it would be evil. Telling you how to do it would violate the acceptable use policy and just thinking about it moves you just a little bit closer to the dark side of The Force.

@eric_barcusauthorDec 04.2006 — seriously? what is it about that command that is envolved with security i cant see a security risk its just stopping a command from loading, is there a way to make all onload commands to be deactivated ive read about loadoff a bit but dont understand it fully,

so are you saying that you cant tell me how to stop a single type of code weither it is onload or the breakoutofframes because of security risks

@CharlesDec 04.2006 — I'm saying that because of built in security features JavaScript will not let you monkey with somebody else's page. And even if there were a flaw in the securiy that it would be un-ethical to tell you about it. And further, you are harboring dirty thoughts so stop that.

@eric_barcusauthorDec 04.2006 — ok so im trying again and im not thinking in the "WAYS OF THE DARK" so let me get out a few details

i have a document its not originally my document and it is hosted on a server, i dont wish to change this document i just simply want to place it withen a web browser along with other documents

i have created an html document to display

3 iframes in a table

document one is in the form of an .html doc

doc two is in the form of a .jsp

and doc three is a .html

the two html documents like to stay in the frames the .jsp does not like frames

my NEW question would then be,

CAN you embed a .jsp document in a html document like you would embed another java program inside of a browser

example... you know those little java applets that run Aol Instant Messanger inside of a webpage i want to do that with the .jsp so that all in all the html document will be the background and the .jsp will just sit on top of the html in a table

Success!
