web photo gallery

Is there a program that I can buy, or download free, to make a photo gallery?
I have tried the photo galleries in Photoshop and they are great, but I’m unable to change the size of the gallery to fit into the appropriate space on the webpage. I need a gallery that I can have pictures with different categories, with small thumbnails. I also need to place it in a small area on a page. 416 pixels x 322 pixels

This is for a site that I’m doing for someone. It’s temporarily at [url]www.webpreview.ca[/url] which is for the gift gallery page to fit in the “coming soon” area. I want to be able to show her product in different categories.

@tecNov 28.2006 — I noticed that you have pages like about us, and the little content section down the left side. Have you considered using a CMS, so these can be changed as needed, if needed?

It also allows the ability to add to the site if wished, something like joomla could be used with a gallery component.

Most gallery apps are stand alone, meaning they have their own template system, in which case, you would need to apply and update both the gallery template and the static info template.

Using a cms will eliminate this extra work.

@tracknutNov 28.2006 — You might also look at JAlbum (www.jalbum.net) and find an album skin that can be made small.
