How to get rid of Index of…

Hey All! I’m attempting to build a webpage, and i have an entrance page i want to put up there so i uploaded the .html file to the root directory. But everytime i go it comes up and says Index Of… then lists the files. Can someone please tell me how to make it not go to this Index of… but rather to my entrance page (which is in .html format)

@_Aerospace_Eng_Nov 19.2006 — #You need to have a file named index.html. This usually will be the first page seen if the use goes to that directory. The Index of listing occurs if no such file exists.
