Help with .htacess

Ok, Im having a bit of an issue. Hopefully someone could help me out. Does anyone know the script I can use for .htacess to have certain people with codes or something to get into my site. Sorta like a member section, can I do that with this type of file? I hope I have some direction on this issue.
