Problem regarding imposing image on button

I change the image of button using this script
obj.style.backgroundImage=’url(‘+initailimage+’)’;
My problem is that it sometimes not take some images .I checked thorougly path is correct and i also make the dimension of two images same they both are in same folder .One image show clearly but on assigning other image to button it color changes like it not find image.
