IE CSS Dropdown Menu Question

[B]$500 goes to the first person that can solve this puzzle:[/B]

These two pages are linking to the exact same style sheets. The only difference is that the first one is just the dropdown menu itself, where the second one is a dropdown inside of a simple centered table. The drop down doesn’t work in IE in the second page. WHY (and the $1000 question is how can it be fixed?)

@KDLANov 01.2006 — I'm not sure why the FIRST one works in IE -- normally, IE does not support the li:hover state. Instead, javascripting is used as a back-up for that.

Also, because I'm terribly curious, why are you enclosing this in a table to start with? It seems pretty self contained as it is -- is it just to get it to center? If so, you can do that with CSS positioning.

@ZapacomanauthorNov 01.2006 — thanx, that actually helped...i'm trying to set the absolute position to be centered in both IE & FF....this is what I have, perfect in IE, but still left aligned in FF ... any ideas?

@KDLANov 01.2006 — You should put the menu within the wrapper div. Right now, it's sort of floating there.
