What is the best way to create the following style – see attached image

I want to create a site like [SIZE=3][COLOR=Red][B]A[/B][/COLOR] [/SIZE]and not like [SIZE=3][COLOR=Red][B]B[/B][/COLOR][/SIZE]

I need to colums of equal width – i’ve tried floating one but the results are different in both browsers (IE & Firefox) – what is the best way

Should i turn to using a table for the colums part – yeah

@KravvitzOct 27.2006 — I might float one and give a left or right margin to the other depending on how I wanted to order them in the source versus which one I wanted to display on each side.

Do you want them to be fixed width, fluid, or elastic?

@David_HarrisonOct 27.2006 — Should i turn to using a table for the colums part - yeah[/QUOTE]No, bad bad bad. That's not what tables are for, CSS is much more powerful and can do pretty much everything you like. I've come across very few instances in which CSS couldn't do the job.

Here's a couple o' columns, equal width, done in CSS.
