Hi there,
This might seem a strange question, but…
I’ve seen a few sites that has *.shtml?* near the end of their url’s and I was just wondering whats going on there, as I thought the file extention had to be the end of that url.

Thanks

Ninko

@CharlesOct 26.2006 — That is the file extension. Some servers support pre-processing of certain files. The server can be configured to process files with certain extrensions and ".shtml" is a common way to indicate that the server should look for what are called server side includes. You'll also see ".php" extensions to indicate the the server should look for PHP.
