design issue

i want to make a page for a resturant, and the chief would like to update the menu on a regular basis. how would you deisgn it so he could only access certain part of the site and no one else could?

an example would be great if possible?

@so_is_thisOct 24.2006 — You should use user validation for this. In other words, they would have an admin section which requires login with a user name and password. See the last post in this thread for a possibly useful link:

you could set up separate ftp rights for him which only allow him access to 1 folder with the menu broken down into text files which he could edit.

another option would be to have an entry form which would update files (.txt file etc...)

a third option would be to have an sql database and a login system for the chief to login to and edit the menu
