Opacity in javascript

We used to implement opacity in Mozilla based browser use “MozOpacity” property and “alpha.opacity” in IE.

I wonder is there any change has been to Mozilla based browser to support the official “alpha.opacity” method.

Do I have to write two sets of codes for these two browsers, if I want to use opacity?

@mrhooOct 23.2006 — Yes, though Mozilla can use 'opacity:' (string rep. of a floating point between 0 and 1)

IE still uses f'ilter:alpha(opacity=' ( int between 1 and a hundred))

If possible, use css to assign both sets to a range of classes in a stylesheet, and cycle through the classes with js,

rather than trying to apply the changing style in your script.
