code not working

I have a file holding about 10 functions called jscript.js and rather than put the code in the header I chose to use <javascript src=’/jscript.js’> and it work fine up until today. so now all of my forms that are suppose to onsubmit=”return function()” don’t work.

I tested the site with putting a function in the header rather than using src and it worked. but i want to know why my method isn’t working.
