Can I run PHP code in my CSS???

Hi all,

Could I run some PHP code when hovering over an element?

what I would like to do is:

when hovering over an element, do a linux grep statement.

I have a PHP script that shows files and their timestamps in a web browser, now I wanted to know if I could hover over one of the file names, and while hovering run a grep command and get some results to display in the hover. Or maybe something like a tool tip.

Any thought would help,

@Phill_PaffordauthorOct 17.2006 — pcthug, since your a Moderator could you suggest a ajax section for this site? I know it is more then one language, but this would help developers know where to post.

Thanks for the help, I will post some questions in the Javascript forum

@pcthugOct 17.2006 — Phill, I think the current Javascript and XML forums are currently sufficient. Previous Discussion of an AJAX forum was inconclusive and I doubt that JP has changed his mind since.
