Easy How to View files in directory?

Hi, this seems simple and I guess I should know this, but how can you view all of the files that are within a website? Like if you go to msn.com/images
how do you see the image files listed like
1.jpg
2.jpg
3.jpg.
I know sometimes it says that directory listing is denied. Is there a workaround? THANKS!!!!

@felgallOct 16.2006 — 403 means that the directory has been secured to stop people viewing the directory list. If it is your site running on a dedicated server you may be able to get the security turned off. If it is your site on a shared server then the hosting service will probably refuse to turn off the security as it will compromise the security of other sites on the server.
