I’m building a website that will have a forum board on it. I need to know how to set up my forum so that when a user types a emoticon like this —-> 🙂 in the forum text area it will display a smiley image on the forum board. If anyone can help I sure would appreciate it.
@bearauthorJul 08.2003 — #Hi brendandonhue, the fact is my friend I do not have the foggest idea what your talking about. Sorry, but I,m new to this programming stuff. I have done some copy & past jobs with a little chopping thrown in to get the scripts to fit in, but no programming on my own.
The forum board I have comes with my membership at Boomspeed.com web hosting. I am trying to build a website with tutorials and other stuff like graphices, color charts, links to websites where floks can download softwares. In other words a helps website for "Newbies". And wanted to add the smilies to the forum if possible.
@bearauthorJul 08.2003 — #brendandonhue I was not sure what you ment by "What language is the board powered by", but I do now. I'm not 100% sure although I believe its CGI, but give me a little time and I will find out for sure. Oh by the way, "THANK YOU" for helping me out here ?
