Scrolling Thing-a-ma-jig

Can someone help? I don’t know what its called? I’m looking for a script perhaps java, that scrolls text in a selected area only. I have a page of words that I want to put into a small box area and just have people click on the scroll button to go down and read it alll. I really don’t know what its called. Please post the link if its in this forum.
